Pixies 6-8yrs. Old you must be 6 by 5/31/10
Junior Pigtail: 9-10 yrs old
Senior Pigtail: 11-13 yrs old
Ponytail: 14-18 yrs old
Junior Fast Pitch: 11-12 yrs old
Senior Fast Pitch: 12-13 yrs old
PLAYERS AGE ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2010 DETERMINES THEIR LEAGUE!
There is a proud and long tradition of softball in South Euclid. For over 30 years the South Euclid Girls Softball League has provided a recreational and instructional opportunity for the girls of the community to play softball. Back in 1970, 50 girls between the ages of 12 and 18 played their first game on a worn-out field at the former Richmond School, now the SE/L Board of Education Building. Over the years, the league has grown and changed. Younger leagues have been added, playing fields have been improved, equipment and uniforms have been upgraded. Perhaps some of those original 50 players would not recognize the SEGSL today, but some of those players have returned to the league with their own daughters. Visit the Dugout Section to view schedules, tournament play, rosters, scores, and standings. This section will grow and be completed as the season nears and will also include League Rules and tips for ball players.
Visit the Grandstand to get directions to a field, to check the rain-out status, report a score, make a suggestion, and find links to our sponsors, other leagues, and general info about softball. Like the Dugout Section, the Grandstand Section will grow as the season approaches and will probably be most visited during the season.
You will find a number of links throughout the site that you can use to contact the league leadership. They are interested in hearing from you and desire your comments, questions, criticism, and suggestions.
